Students/parents/guardians may purchase a hot breakfast from the school’s cafeteria Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 8:20am. In an effort to ensure that students complete their breakfast prior to the beginning of school, parents/guardians are encouraged to get students to school in enough time to not only purchase their breakfast, but also be on time for the start of their classes.
Parents/guardians should be aware that teachers are not responsible for taking breakfast orders; therefore, money should not be sent to them to order breakfast.
A copy of the breakfast menu is sent home with students on the first day of classes, so that choices can be made prior to arriving on the campus.
Temple Christian Elementary offers a daily hot lunch program for students of K5 to grade 6. Students in grades K5-grade 2 are expected to place their orders by 8:40 each morning, choosing from the daily menu. Students in grades 3-6 can order directly from the cafeteria during the lunch break. A lunch menu is sent home at the beginning of the school year, or one can be picked up from the main office.
Throughout the year, parents/guardians of students in grades 1-6, who wish to drop off lunch for their child/children, must report directly to the main office, and not the child’s/children’s classroom(s). All lunches must be labeled with the child’s/children’s name(s) and grade(s). The lunch will be forwarded at the appropriate time. Parents are urged to adhere to the listed lunch times below.
Daily lunch times are as follows:
* Pre-School (K3-K4) | 11:15am -11:45am |
* Kindergarten (K5) | 11:30am -12:20pm |
* Lower Elementary (Gr. 1-3) | 11:30am -12:20pm |
* Upper Elementary (Gr. 4-6) | 12:20pm – 1:00pm |
Students are not permitted to purchase lunch or snacks from street vendors or other persons without permission from a member of administration.
