Welcoming Ms. Kendie Edmond: Empowering Young Minds as Preschool Vice Principal

Temple Christian Elementary School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ms. Kendie Edmond as our new Preschool Vice Principal!  

​With a rich career spanning nearly three decades in education, Ms. Edmond brings a deep wealth of experience, a heart for ministry, and an unwavering commitment to holistic student development. Her return to early childhood leadership marks an exciting new chapter for our Preschool Department, where she aims to build upon our foundation of academic, spiritual, and emotional excellence.  

A Legacy of Dedication and Excellence

​Ms. Edmond’s educational journey is rooted in a profound passion for helping every child reach their full potential. Over her 30-year career, she has served in diverse roles—from foundational early childhood classrooms to upper primary grade levels—building a reputation as an educator who is loving, firm, charismatic, and deeply invested in her school community.  

​Her dedication to academic achievement is reflected in her impressive credentials:  

  • ​Bachelor of Science in Human Services (Psychology & Sociology) – Summa Cum Laude  
  • ​Specialized training in Early Childhood Education and Caregiving  
  • ​Continuous professional growth through leadership seminars, educational workshops, and project management certifications  

​Throughout her years at Temple Christian School, Ms. Edmond has not only guided students in the classroom but has also served as a pillar of our community, contributing to student boards, PTF committees, spelling competitions, and environmental initiatives.  

Returning to the Foundation

​While many families know Ms. Edmond from her impactful work in the upper elementary grades, early childhood education is where her journey first began.  

​”The foundation laid during a child’s earliest years has a lasting impact on their academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development,” says Ms. Edmond. “Stepping into this role allows me to use my experience to support our teachers, encourage our families, and ensure our youngest learners receive the quality education and loving care they deserve.”

​As Vice Principal, Ms. Edmond’s mission centers on creating a structured, nurturing environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration with parents, mentorship for staff, and an abiding commitment to the spiritual and academic mission of Temple Christian School.  

​Her vision for the department includes:
