Temple Christian School is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lowell Julian Sweeting Sr. to the role of Dean of Students at its high school campus.
Dr. Sweeting has been a vital part of the Temple Christian High School faculty for the past three years, serving as a Religious Studies Teacher. Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and morally. His transition into the position of Dean of Students reflects his ongoing dedication to student development, character building, and campus leadership.
A Strong Foundation in Leadership and Mentorship
In addition to his classroom teaching, Dr. Sweeting recently earned his doctorate degree, strengthening his capacity for educational guidance, critical thinking, and spiritual oversight. Over the years, he has taken an active role in campus life through several key initiatives:
Campus Involvement: Served on both the National Pride and Prefect Committees, and regularly coordinated and spoke during chapel services.
Student Mentorship Programs: Founded a campus boys’ club to provide young men with a structured environment focused on mentorship, accountability, and positive character development.
Vocational Outreach: Spearheaded the “Boyz to Men” Mentoring Camp, a summer program designed to teach young men basic Vocational Art skills alongside personal development.
A Christ-Centered Vision for Student Development
Dr. Sweeting’s approach to leadership combines firm discipline with a compassionate, approachable standard. Rooted in biblical principles, his goal as Dean of Students is to foster a Christ-centered environment where students are encouraged to achieve their God-given potential while understanding the core values behind positive behavior and self-responsibility.
