SUNS’ U17 4x400m mixed relay sets new record

At the recent high school nationals track & field competition, the SUNS Under 17 4x400m mixed relay team comprised of Delvon Barton, Denika Gittens, Braeden Cleare, and Ramonique McClendon won big by setting a national record (time to be ratified). The opening leg by Delvon placed the SUNS team among the leaders, and our team was able to take a commanding lead into the 4th leg, thanks to some strong running from Denika and Braeden on legs 2 and 3 respectively. Ramonique ran a mature anchor leg, not panicking, and bringing our baton home in record-setting time. Congratulations to these stellar athletes on their truly remarkable achievement!
