TCS students excel in speech competitions

Katrell Burrows (12C) was a finalist in the National Insurance Board’s speech competition early this month, and was awarded a certificate and a medal for her achievements. Whitney Adderley (11C) is also to be congratulated for her fine performance in the First Annual Kemp Meeting Oratorical Speech Competition which was held in honor of His Excellency, The Hon Arthur D. Hanna. Indera Mackey (8T) was 1 of 3 finalists selected during the Parkinson’s Disease Speech Competition sanctioned by the Parkinson’s Association of the Bahamas. She moved on to compete in the finals to be held at the Performing Arts Auditorium at 3pm.
 
In the finals of the Parkinson’s Foundation Speech Competition, Indera Mackey earned 2nd place honors in the Junior Division, while Crystal Lotmore and Alexander Smith earned first and second place respectively in the senior division.”
